When 25-year-old Toronto, Canada resident and model SAMANTHA TAJIK recently placed 3rd runner-up at the Miss Universe Canada pageant, it didn't stop her from representing Canada, as well as Iranians, as if she was the one with the crown.

Samantha recently had the opportunity to represent the pageant in Colombia and will be leaving to China for a tour of duty on behalf of the organization as well. The 5-foot, 10-inch beauty actively participates in ongoing events and charities for the organization in Canada, and has recently received a lot of media attention, ranging from appearances on Entertainment Tonight: Canada, as well as exposure in many of the country's magazine's.

She recently appeared in a number of international music videos, including three for an upcoming Persian singer, and is an aspiring fashion entrepreneur.

"I promise this is just the start and that I will continue to strive for success in this industry and hopefully bring more recognition to Persians," Samantha recently told NYLAMAG.com "We are just as talented as others, but we are brought up afraid to pursue things like acting and modeling. It's something that should change. We have so much beauty and talent, but how is it we lack recognition in the entertainment industry? Well, because most of us are too afraid to try."

But thank god Samantha isn't.
