SHAGHAYEGH CLAUDIA LYNX isn’t the girl next door. She’s who the girl next door wishes she was. Whether it’s a career in television, film, modeling or music – she’s working on her second Persian solo album, with production by rumored boyfriend Kamran (yes, that Kamran, of Persian pop music duo “Kamran and Hooman” fame) – the 22-year-old Gemini and Los Angeles, California resident can do it all. Except, it seems, muster enough energy to go out and party on a Saturday night like the girl next door.

With an appearance as Miss World on the NBC political drama series The West Wing last year, a recently-aired Burger King commercial, and major role as an Egyptian queen in a bona fide movie all under her belt, it’s no wonder this 5-foot, 10-inch Persian beauty is usually so burned out after daily photo shoots and auditions that the ideal weekend night for her is one that includes a lot of rest and little bit of painting, a hobby she has been perfecting for years.

Look for the “Goddess of Persia” – a director recently anointed her the title – in a couple of more movies and in guest spots in a few popular television series this year. And if you’re yearning for more, check out the DVD Legion of the Dead, in which you’ll get to see a lot more of Shaghayegh as an Egyptian Queen.
